I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your working with us on our new asset inventory management system.

We have replaced our old mainframe system, reducing cost, while effectively expanding our marketing with a web based system. We were surprised at how easily we moved our inventory and customer data from our old system to your Investment Recovery Suite of data services. The flexibility we now have with DynaSpecs allows us to make changes on the fly that would have taken months to get done on the old system.

Our business operations have changed several ways since we switched over to the Dynaprice Investment Recovery Suite. We have saved time and money and seen a real improvement in the marketing of our surplus and used equipment.

Before DynaPrice, we were expending a lot of time putting together and mailing a printed catalog of our surplus equipment inventory. Not only was this time consuming, but it cost a great deal in supplies and postage. After our catalogs hit, we had many phone calls for about a week and then very little activity until the next mailing two months later .

Now we spend no time or money on the paper catalogs, freeing up my people to spend that time selling.

Calls are steady coming in now, and growing in volume. We are seeing more and more inquiries coming in from all over the world, at all times of the day and night, and not just from our own, much more attractive website, but also from wwx.com, 4semi.com, LabJupiter.com and other market portals Dynaprice has set up to drive traffic our way. And many of the inquiries we get from the web are serious, while we used to get a lot of time-wasting questions about the two-line listings in the catalog.

Also, the quality of our operations has improved.

Many of the calls from the old catalog used to be for items already sold or re-deployed. Now, with our real-time system, sold items are automatically removed and we get fewer complaints about inaccurate or missing data. Even our warehouse operations are improved. The buyers who tour our warehouse, as well as our own staff, now see more attractive, detailed and accurate spec sheets on each of piece of equipment, which we print on a color printer right off our website.

For us, the new system had one other hidden benefit: we were able to get rid of the old, cumbersome mainframe system we used to struggle with, a system with no connection to the web. This was not only good riddance for us, but a major savings and headache reduction for our corporate IT staff. I can't say it's fun tracking our inventory and all the work that goes into selling it, but I sure can say it's a lot better than it used to be!

We are currently planning to expand our system to our closed-bid salvage operation, and are considering setting up venues for local surplus sales at our Japanese and European operations centers. Dynaprice has given us a solid, easy-to-use platform to build on, and we will be expanding our use of it as soon as the economy turns around.

We run our entire business on the Dynaprice Used Equipment Business data service package. We now get over 90% of our customers through Dynaprice via the web. Our staff may work 9 to 5, but our public Dynaprice website brings in business 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Used equipment can't be sold on the web with a shopping cart and a one-line description.

Dynaprice lets us present our entire inventory in real time and with an extensive amount of detail. Buyers come to our site, browse through detailed descriptions of our equipment, and pre-screen themselves. Our salespeople are 3-4 times more efficient, since the customers are better informed when they email or call. And every inquiry, on or off the web, is databased by our Used Equipment Business Suite, available for follow-ups, emails and mailing labels.

We also save a tremendous amount of time inventorying equipment. With Dynaprice’s unique way of capturing data, our workers are prompted for the specific details about an item when we first bring it into our warehouse. They enter product specs right into our private Dynaprice inventory system using a PC near the warehouse door. That way we capture all the relevant information at once without having to go back to check the item once it has been put into storage.

We have seen many other dot coms come and go, including some really big ones. They all had an inherent flaw: they tied themselves into our deals, demanding commissions. Dynaprice charges us for a data service only and does not get involved in our business. I deal with my customers, brokers and others the way I always have. This is the way it should be.

And now we assemble the details for our quarterly print catalogs at the press of a button. We used help a staffmember re-write a large, separate word processing document every three months. Now all our information is up-to-the-minute on the web and we can still print and mail a catalog without as large an interruption of our buying and selling activities.

For companies serious about selling used equipment on the web this product is the one.

The bottom line is: Dynaprice makes me money.

For many years we had been receiving complaints from customers and colleagues within the industry that our website was difficult to search for equipment of interest, and more importantly difficult to find on the internet.

After switching to Dynaprice we have experienced better results on the equipment advertised on our website. Customers are more satisfied with the search capabilities of our new site as well as with their ability to review the most recently added items without having to print out the entire inventory and comparing it, line by line, to a prior printout, as they had to do with our old site.
